Birthday wishes

Yesterday was my Birthday, and now I'm a quarter of a century. I wish when it was your birthday, it was like a video game, and you basically Leveled up, becoming smarter and older all at once. But that's not the case. I spent the whole day working, and by that I mean 7:30 till 5:00, then went out to dinner with my mom. Then watched Percy and the Olympians. It was a birthday present. I also got cake (from work) $10 from a friend, two gift cards, one for 100 and one for 25, a check for $25, a shirt, and three bowls. I'm down to about $50 in gift cards, lol I got ferret food and such... and 3 movies for under a dollar, and a game. Also got a laughing toy for the cats.

And I wasn't expecting anything! Coby did treat me to a movie last week, which was awesome, but really, I wasn't expecting anything else.

Of course, not only was yesterday long, but then I worked today, before napping real quick and then running to the mall. Been busy.

At least the rain has helped cool things down a bit.

Weekly update.

Well now, Jache has gotten a haircut (pics coming soon, my camera has no batteries right now) She looks good. Planning on taking Mukki to the Garden state cat show this July.

Finally got my cherry tree in the ground, and also planted a hydrangea. Had a friend come over and help.

Coby and I saw the new Karate Kid movie. Personally, I give it a 10/10. Very nice remake. It followed the basic plot, but I enjoyed the differences greatly. Jaden Smith did well as a lead, and Jackie Chan rocks.

I've been re-reading some books with my e-book reader (Tamora Pierce books right now) and I've got a complaint. See, the books I'm reading are older, and it's obvious that they were transcribed so they'd be on the readers. There are a LOT of mistakes, spelling and in names. I'm sorry, I don't think that's acceptable, it reads like something someone in high-school wrote, and then didn't spell check. I normally cut a lot of slack for spelling, since I'm Disgraphic, but, these are PUBLISHED works. COME ON PEOPLE "and jew left the city" is just not paying attention ("and few left the city") but "Tjere" is something that WOULD be caught with spell check. and get the names right.

But, other then that, life is ok. I'm off to watch anime.

Drawing

I seriously need to get back into drawing. Or at least writing. I'm going through a phase right now when I just can't get up the enthusiasm I need. I have ideas....most involve people, however, and I am not good at drawing people, so instead of getting all pissed off at the crap-tastic drawings I'd make, I haven't done any. How lame. I could at least write....Or type up the Char bio's I already have. Damn I'm lazy right now. I can kind of say work has kept me busy, and reading takes less effort...so I'm reading. Give me a week or two, and I'll get back to drawing. I really need to regain my skills... I swear I have a few sketches I could work on!

But in the mean time, I've been going to movies, and practically inhaling books. I've also been walking Jache almost every day, and working hard, and doing a good amount of yard work....But! I WILL make time in my day for the creative arts! Writing, drawing, and practicing my Mandolin (which has been sitting in a closet, neglected).

I've got my new computer and man, am I loving it. Gotta say, Windows 7 is much more user friendly then the older versions. Much more customizable as well. So far, I'm happy. (I

Blah

The last few months have totally sucked for me. My car was broken into, and I lost quite a few things (it was parked in my driveway!!! Locked and armed!), my keyboard got toasted, and the new one is glitchy, and worst of all, Copper, my toy poodle, passed away. So, I'm not feeling too much like posting right now.

I am getting a puppy in a few weeks, it was unplanned, but I fell in love, and it doesn't mean I miss Copper any less. Copper was a great dog, who was a joy to be with, he was a friend to everyone, and he will be missed greatly.

When I'm feeling more like me, I'll start posting to this blog more regularly.

Life

I know it's been quite a while since I posted, but I wanted to let you all know that I have not vansished. I've been busy with 2 jobs. Also, We've been working with Mukki in order to get him ready for the next cat show. We have one coming up in a few weeks, and we're hoping to get points. He actually has made Champion in the time I haven't been posted. Now we're working towards grand.

In other news, I am hoping to post more often. I'm going to set up cell-phone posting. that'll help, since one of my jobs is outside...and I can use my cellphone.

Gah...work

So, I quit one job, and got a different job. The Petsmart I was working at was just too far away for me. That, and I ended up working with people who, in my opinion, were not pulling their weight.

So. I'm back to the place I used to work at during High school. Oh well. A job is a job.
In other news, I'm getting the planting done in my yard, and it's shaping up really well. We even have a push mower! I didn't know they still made them. Right now I'm bushed. Last night was my last night at the petsmart, and it was a 12 hour shift. I'm starting work at the old place tomorrow. It's a market and I'll actually be working in the deli area. Fun fun. Wish me lots of luck, ok?

Sorry it's been a while. I'm a horrible slacker, and I've been playing Kingdom Hearts instead of writing. Not much going on right now. I'm planning on going to Anime Next this June, and so now not only do I have to catch up on bills, but I need to save for the room and the ticket...and goodies, of course. *Sigh* It should be worth it. I'll post pics...when the time comes.

I'm exhausted, and I've got work tomorrow, so this is a short post.

Belle and Oliver. Normally they rush around, Oliver after Belle, and she starts yowling,....they're such fakers, they get along well most of the time.

Belle and Mukki. She doesn't play well, but she tollerates Mukki some of the time. He's trying to deside if it's worth it to jump on her, and she's pretending to not see him.

I'm waiting to hear back from Lowes about a part time job. I've been getting some yard work done, though there is still a lot left to be done. Today, since it was warm, I decided to take Copper for a walk, which was fun, despite the fact that he had to mark every single blade of grass. What's really funny is even when he's, well, out.... he still pretends to mark his turf. After the walk I went for a drive, I needed to pick up some things. Copper naturally came along, and he loved it. He's totally worn out now. I then did yard work, and went out again to get the things I couldn't find earlier. And...now I'm here. Tommorow I'm going to a shelter (Not Pike or Wisker's in Waiting) and checking out a kitten that is Mukki's age. I'll let you know how that goes. It's a bit of a drive, but the cat us supposed to be a Maine Coon, so, it'll be worth it. Speaking of Shelters, as soon as I hear back from Lowes, I'm planning on doing volunteer work at at least one of the local shelters. Of course, it'll have to wait till after Mukki's first cat show, which is NEXT WEEKEND!!! YAY! We're getting all excited. Well, that's it for now. ~Sprig

Dr. Horrible...

I got the DVD in the mail today. Much love, let me just say. I had a good time watching the whole DVD. I also finished up YYH, so today was a day spent watching movies. I've been having a story type dream. Every time I go to sleep, the dream picks up, and I think it's a really good story. When I know where we (my subconscious and I) are going with this, I'll give you a summery. I'm thinking about drawing some of the stuff from the dream as well.

Everything has been mellow today. I need to get back to doing some work soon. I have been sick this last week, though, so I'm not too torn up about it. Mukki and Copper got a bath yesterday. Both are much cleaner, and the bath for Mukki went well.

Ok, so I have nothing of any real importance to say. Not about my life at least. Admittedly, I'm pissed at Wall street for pulling that bonus crap. Here we are in the States facing one of the worst Recessions in years, people losing their jobs, companies going out of business, a slow panic setting in, and they had the stupidity to do bonuses equal to that of last year? When we were at a record High? Morons. I'm not trying to go all political on you, but still, it's stupid. I speak as someone who can not find a job in my field, and is working at temp jobs. I know as a nation we are suffering. Everyone knows that. Given that, you'd think one of our biggest financial institutions would be more worried about the every day person instead of their pocket lining. I seem to recall that wall street is dependent on the people with stocks, after all....

Anywho, I should probibly turn in. I've been spending way to much time watching horror movies at night.
